Bed Knitting Machine actually.This small thickness difference will improve your knitting stitches.If you find 

that your knitting is uneven, or there is frequent jamming and you have been knitting for quite some time, 

then you will probably need to replace the sponge strip in your knitting machine.

Sponge Strip Dimensions (thicker than for KX350) : 1cm (W)  x 1.3cm (H) x 98 cm (L).
